Who wants to laugh and cringe all at the same time?

Well, by now anyone that has read much of anything from me knows that laughing at me is easy to do. And cringing from my stories is almost as common. But what isn’t normal is to get both out of the story. I kind of think this one does both of those.

So, for the last 6 weeks or so my back has been progressively getting worse. I have been having tons and tons of pain in my lower back. I just couldn’t put my finger on it. Then about 4 weeks ago my bladder started to gradually get worse and worse as well. Side note, one of the awesome things to come with my injury is bladder issues. I’ve been having to constantly stop to pee no matter what I am doing every 30-45 minutes, makes riding a pain in the ass.

Well, this weekend I had a friend from florida, Erika, come see me. So Saturday night I went out with Erika and a few others for a birthday. Well I had to go to the bathroom, but something was a miss. I couldn’t go. I’ll spare everyone all the great details, email if you really want them. But, I passed a kidney stone in the bathroom and didn’t even know I had one.

I went to the E.R. the next day not knowing why I was bleeding. Low and behold, after telling the doc everything, he told me that I had passed a kidney stone. By Sunday afternoon I was already feeling better. Took off today for a ride and my back felt better then it has in weeks and overall I feel better then I have in over a month.

To quote a good friend, “your so phucked up that a kidney stone causes you “some” problems”. If nothing else, at least I figure I can always get everyone to laugh a little.
